Professional Freelance SEO Services
Wouldn’t it be great if you could just get on with running your business, while someone else took care of the tricky SEO bit? That’s exactly what I do. I take the stress and guesswork out of search engine optimisation, so you can enjoy the results without the overwhelm.
I’m a freelance SEO consultant with over 12 years of experience, and I’ve worked with all sorts of businesses — from small independents to global brands. Along the way, I’ve learned that there’s no magic button for SEO, but there is a smart way to do it: with a solid strategy, a bit of graft, and a lot of common sense with ‘mulling’ time.
My clients don’t just get more clicks for the sake of it. They get the kind of traffic that leads to enquiries, sales, and actual business growth. That’s because I don’t chase vanity metrics. I focus on what matters: getting the right people onto your site and giving them a reason to stick around.
Think of me as your SEO-in-your-pocket — approachable, no-nonsense, and always keeping things clear. No jargon, no confusing reports, and no false promises. Just professional SEO support that gets your website noticed, your content found, and your customers converting.
In short: this is done-for-you SEO that works, and it’s built around you.

How do SEO Services work?

How do My SEO Services WORK?
How well does your website rank on Google?
Are you fed up with languishing in the depths of Google searches and seeing your competitors win all the traffic? It’s not because their product is better than yours; it’s because their SEO is. If you want to put your business in front of the right people, you need the edge that only good SEO can bring.
Before we change anything, I run a thorough visibility audit to see what’s working, what isn’t, and where the quickest wins are. I’ll review:
Keywords & intent – what your customers actually search and where the gaps are
Competitors – who outranks you and why (including SERP features they own)
Content – clarity, relevance, and any keyword cannibalisation holding you back
Backlinks – quality, opportunities, and quick authority wins
Speed & UX – Core Web Vitals, mobile experience, and conversion blockers
Technical – crawlability, indexing, site structure, internal links, schema
Outcome: a prioritised action plan that puts you in front of the right audience — not just more traffic, but more enquiries and sales.
So, SEO Services - how does it work?
So, what on earth is SEO, you ask? Think of it as the secret sauce that makes your website irresistibly tasty to Google and other search engines like Yahoo and Bing. In the vast online space, you want your site to shine like a beacon of brilliance rather than languish on page 57 of the search results (which is basically the digital equivalent of the Bermuda Triangle, where no one ever ventures).
I know what you’re thinking: But how do you work this SEO sorcery? It’s not sorcery, that’s why.
First up, I embark on keyword research. This involves delving into the minds of your potential customers (not in a creepy way, I promise) to discover what they’re searching for. It’s like being a detective, but with fewer trench coats and more spreadsheets. Once we’ve got those golden keywords, I’ll sprinkle them throughout the content on your site like fairy dust, ensuring Google sits up and takes notice.
Next, we’ll take a gander at your website’s on-page optimisation. This is where I channel my inner Marie Kondo and declutter your site. Does your site spark joy for Google? If not, it’s time for a bit of tidying up. From tweaking page titles to optimising images, I’ll make sure every nook and cranny of your website is checked out and dealt with as part of my ongoing SEO services.
SEO isn’t just about making your site pretty; it’s also about getting other sites to sing your praises. Enter link building, the digital equivalent of networking but without the awkward small talk and questionable canapés. I’ll help you earn those all-important backlinks, making sure other websites are shouting your name from the virtual rooftops. Lush.
Of course, no great SEO service would be complete without some good old-fashioned monitoring and tweaking. Think of it as a digital check-up, but with less poking and prodding. I’ll keep an eagle eye on your website’s performance, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure your site stays in tip-top shape and ahead of the competition. After all, SEO is a marathon, not a sprint—and I’m your dedicated cheerleader all the way to the finish line.
My professional SEO services in a nutshell: a blend of strategy, creativity, and a dash of humour. Because who says SEO has to be serious? Not me.
How does your SEO strategy measure up?
You can’t build a strategy that actually delivers results without really understanding SEO. Think about it:
Do you know how search engines are finding (or missing) your site?
Which keywords your competitors are ranking for — and why they’re outranking you?
How Google crawls your site, and how things like speed and usability affect your rankings?
If not, don’t worry — you’ve got better things to do with your time.
This is where I come in. I take all of this into account and build your SEO strategy from the ground up. No cookie-cutter templates, no generic “one-size-fits-all” approach. Every plan I create is tailored to you, your business, and your audience — giving you a clear path to better visibility, stronger rankings, and more of the right customers.
When can I expect results from SEO?
Good organic SEO is all about the long game, and no one, not even Google, can tell you how long it’ll take to climb those rankings or make it to number one. SEO takes time, investment, and a good, solid strategy. That’s why I offer SEO packages: so, as a business, you can manage your budget effectively.
If you’ve ever sat in a marketing meeting and ever been asked, “When will we see results from SEO?” — well, you’re not alone. I'm asked this all the time. And to be fair, it's a flipping excellent question.
I'll be honest, as that's how I roll with my clients: SEO isn’t a quick fix. It’s more like compound interest — slow at first, then unstoppable if you stick with it.
Here’s what a typical timeline looks like when you commit to SEO properly:
Month 1: Audit, strategy and quick fixes. You won’t see much yet, but foundations are laid.
Months 2–4: First new content lands, technical issues get sorted, impressions creep up.
Months 4–6: Rankings stabilise, traffic builds, first leads trickle in.
Months 6–12: Compounding kicks in. SEO becomes a channel, not an experiment.
12 months+: Market leadership. SEO drives brand visibility and revenue
The businesses that stick with SEO beyond a year see it become the most cost-effective channel in their marketing mix. Those who dip in and out? They rarely see the full return, if at all. I've seen it, I've dealt with it.
One thing I can promise though if you don’t do anything, you won’t go anywhere.
I don’t just talk the sEO talk.
Bev Salt invited me onto The Salt Sessions to dig into the world of SEO. We talked about what’s really going on with Google, why I never sell SEO by “number of keywords,” and how businesses can actually show up where it matters. It’s me, being my usual straight-talking, SERPs-tickling self, sharing the same kind of advice I give my clients every day.
Not to bore you, but my SEO services are designed to work with the core aspects of Google algorithms.

What is SEO?
Specialist SEO Support Services
If you're a small business owner in the UK, you've probably heard the term SEO thrown around a lot. But what exactly is SEO, and why should it matter to you?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation. It's a collection of techniques and practices designed to help your website rank higher on search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo. The goal is to increase your website's visibility so that when potential customers search for products or services you offer, your site appears closer to the top of the search results. Win!
SEO involves various elements, including:
Keyword Research:
Identifying the words and phrases your potential customers are using to search for businesses like yours. There’s absolutely no point in throwing words and phrases onto your website all willy-nilly, you need to put the leg work in and actually do the research too, y’know.
On-Page SEO:
Optimising the content and structure of your website to make it more search-engine friendly. This doesn’t mean hammering in your keyphase as much as possible, its about talking to your ideal audience. That content also needs to be presented in an easy-to-understand way, not just for people, but for search engines too. FYI: H titles aren’t a design choice.
Off-Page SEO:
Building backlinks from other reputable websites to yours, signalling to search engines that your site is credible and valuable. Digital PRis your friend - reputable links from sites that make sense.
Technical SEO:
Ensuring your website is fast, mobile-friendly, and easy to navigate. Basically, if your website is a bit banjaxed or doesn’t have a mobile version, you are in trouble. And so is your web dev.
Why Should Businesses in the UK Invest in SEO?
Increased Online Visibility:
Imagine having a fantastic shop in a hidden alley that no one knows about. That's what it's like to have a great website without SEO. By investing in SEO, your business can appear in front of more people searching for your services or products. Way-hey!
Cost-Effective Marketing:
Compared to traditional advertising methods like TV or print ads, SEO is much more budget-friendly. Once your website starts ranking higher, you’ll get free traffic without having to continuously pay for ads. You do need to pay for support though, so it’s never ‘truly’ free, but you get my gist.
Builds Credibility and Trust:
Websites that appear higher in search results are often seen as more credible and trustworthy by users. Good SEO practices also enhance the user experience, making your site easier to navigate and more informative. In a nutshell: give people a good time.
Targeted Traffic:
SEO helps attract people who are actively looking for what you offer. These visitors are more likely to convert into customers because they already have an interest in your products or services.
Stay Competitive:
Many of your competitors are likely already investing in SEO. By optimising your site, you not only level the playing field but can also get ahead by attracting more organic traffic.
Long-Term Benefits:
Unlike paid ads, which stop working the moment you stop paying, SEO provides long-lasting benefits. While it takes time to see results, the improvements in traffic and rankings can have lasting impacts on your business.
SEO Service FAQ
-
Everything starts with a chat, so feel free to pop me an email with your questions, challenges, thoughts or musings and we’ll go from there. We can talk over email, through video chat, or with a good old-fashioned phone call. Whichever works best for you!
-
I work across a varied network of freelancers and business owners - from Ecommerce, service providers, marketing departments, insurance companies and booksellers, to florists, business coaches, psychotherapists, and artists. My clients are spotted all over the UK, from Cornwall to Scotland and everywhere in between.
-
Because SEO never stops. Honestly, it’s exhausting. You can’t just ‘SEO’ a website and expect to be found, in the same way you can’t stop promoting and marketing your business. SEO is about continual development, and if you want to be top of Google, you have to be top of the SEO game.
-
I got you to page one for some keywords - but did we hit them all? What about your new services, or the new keywords searchers are now using to find you? Getting to page one is the first step, but we want to be walking down the path, not stopping to look at the view.
-
I hear you, and I hear that a lot! Being let down can really shake you, but your trust is precious to me. To give you more confidence, you can take a look at the glowing reviews and testimonials on my website, LinkedIn, Facebook and Google My Business page. You can also check out my previous clients: they are all real people, with real businesses. And for that added bit of transparency, you’ll be able to keep tabs on everything I’m doing for you through the Milk it Hub.
-
Not on your nelly. In the same way you don’t work for free, neither do I. I’m a consummate professional, with scores of testimonials to give you confidence in what I do (and what I can do for you). If you’d like a taster, feel free to try out my SEO audit.
-
Yes, but you’ll soon find yourself at the bottom. Tricking Google isn’t a smart move; you might fly under the radar for a little while, but you will get found out and at that point you can wave bye-bye to your ranking. I only work with Google. What Google wants, Google gets.
-
That’s not a great way to build backlinks. Spammy backlinks are harmful to your ranking and won’t make a jot of difference to search engines. I only offer quality backlink opportunities through my Milk It Hub. The hub contains PR requests and blogger callouts, which enable you to pitch directly through my platform - then PR puts you directly in front of your ideal clients. Spiffy!
-
Very! I have over ten years of experience in SEO, and I live and breathe it daily. There isn’t much I don’t know about search ranking, and if anything’s new, I find out sharpish. Staying up-to-date with search changes is all part of the job.
-
Not even the Almighty Google can do that, I’m afraid. But I can promise to build you a solid SEO strategy, based on your business. Good SEO is a long game, and instant results aren’t guaranteed. I will say this though: I’m yet to have a client who hasn’t made it to page one, so there’s that.
-
Honestly? Because organic SEO takes time, and anything less than six months won’t see any meaningful results - especially on the lowest package. Dipping in and out of SEO doesn’t work either; in fact, it can make things worse. I only work with people who really are ready to invest in their business.
-
Sure you can. There are loads of training courses out there. I work with clients who don’t have the time, or who would rather leave it to an expert so they can carry on running their business, without the never-ending SEO headache.
Don’t get lost ONLINE.
