Devon Air Ambulance (DAAT) is a local charity, based in Exeter Devon.

Bespoke SEO training

Milk It worked on a bespoke SEO training day for the Devon Air Ambulance comms team. The training covered what is SEO, how SEO can help your business, the five main ingredients to SEO, how to track changes and local SEO.

Training day

The training day spanned two two-hour sessions. DAAT provided key areas they wanted to focus on and areas they wanted to improve in terms of SEO. The first day of training covered the principles of SEO and how search works today, and how users use the interest. We also covered searcher intent, types of keyword, content, page structure, website structure and how to use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to track audience demographic, traffic, users and drop-off points.

The second day focused on a bespoke SEO strategy that DAAT could use to help build their organic traffic, in particular donations, volunteers and awareness. We looked at content creation, keywords and buyer intent within the charity sector.

Training day materials

The training was held via Google Meet, and training PDFs were created to lead the sessions. The training was also recorded, so playback was possible fr DAAT and all PDFs were sent to DAAT as well.
